Settlement and reconciliation reading

A reconstruction of payout, refund, and fee lines so the application’s processing history matches the bank credits a gateway will actually check.

Gateway underwriters compare the processing history in an application with the credits that landed in the applicant’s bank. When payout reports, refund files, and current-account statements tell three different stories, the file is not “incomplete” in a vague sense — it is unreadable.

This reading rebuilds that bridge. We take processor settlement files, isolate fees, chargebacks, and withheld reserves, and match the remainder to bank credits. Where a month cannot be matched, we say so in plain language rather than forcing a total.

The work is useful when you have used more than one processor, when a marketplace paid you on a delayed cycle, or when a prior acquirer held a rolling reserve that still sits in the statements. Those facts belong in the application; they should not appear as unexplained holes.

You receive a reconciliation appendix and a short covering note. You decide whether to include the appendix in the pack you send. We do not file it with the gateway unless a later engagement says so.

Typical duration: 6–10 working days. Quoted from the number of processors and months in the pack.
